One of my goals for this year is to step outside the realm of portrait photography. My husband told me about how the moon looked awesome coming up over Mille Lacs on Monday evening. It is a very unusual winter this year with warm temperatures and no snow right now. The moon just glares off the ice. So my sweet hubby looked up when the moon was to rise on Tuesday evening and the kids and I headed out. It took me a bit to figure out which lens and setting to use, so I miss getting great images when it was starting to rise. Here is one of my favorites of the evening.
