Thankful

It is the season of giving thanks.  The kids have been writing down this week at school what they are thankful for.  Collin earlier said he was thankful for family, God and watching tv with his family.  He drew a picture of all of us sitting on the couch watching Spongebob with his favorite bowl of popcorn and pop.  Tyler wrote that he is thankful for his family and his Thankgiving meal that he will be eating today.  I am so thankful for my wonderful family.  I couldn’t imagine life without them.  I am so happy that I have this holiday off to spend time with them and enjoy my mother’s wonderful cooking.  Well this morning I think Collin was thankful for the snow flakes falling.  His face just lit up when he saw the snow coming down.  He has been waiting and waiting.  He said, “Does this mean it is Thanksgiving?”  Tho I am not too thankful for the snow, I am also thankful for the gift of photography in my life.  It is such a creative outlet for me, whether it be photographing my families milestones, someone else’s or creating images such at the flakes that fell this morning.  So today I embraced the flakes for the sake of photography.
